Your veterinarian has referred your animal to me for a dermatology consultation, diagnostic workup and treatment. I look forward to meeting you and your animal. A few points to make before you come to see me are:
- If possible please make sure that your animal is not taking corticosteroids, including topical ointments and creams. If this not possible, come anyway. We will cope.
- Please do not feed your animal the morning of the consultation.
- Please do not shampoo your animal for three days before the consultation
- Be prepared for an hour and a half long consultation and/or half-hour or longer revisit. Please bring with you all medications and shampoos that you are using or have used.
- Because of the lengthy and complicated nature of the consultation, my charges may be higher than your normal veterinarian’s, although roughly the same on a time allotted basis.
- Please fill out the patient history form that should have been sent by the hosting veterinary clinic. I find that getting your history of the case is very important. If you have not received a history form, you can download one below.
